There are 7.53 billion people in the world. 0.0086% of that population are world-wide known celebrities. Justin Bieber, Luke Brian, Billie Eillish. They all share one thing, fans. Have you ever dreamed about one person for a week, just constantly? We call that fangirling. Let’s go over some quick terms:
Fandom- The fans of a particular person, team, fictional series, ect., regarded collectively as a community.
Ship- A romantic pairing between two characters in a fictional series or in real life. They are often supported by fans instead of portrayed in reality.
Canon- A term used to differentiate a fanfiction writing to the real writing by the author.
Fanon- Pieces of information that a fan makes up that completes their canons.
OTP- Is the abbreviation for ‘one true pairing.’
Now that you know the basics, communicating to other fans shouldn’t be to difficult. But, do you know some of the top OTP’s?

Some of the Top Ships:
- Loki/Thor- If you have ever heard of the Avengers, you have probably heard the ship between Loki and Thor. Although they are brothers, anything is possible with fans. So, you never know.
- Tyler Joseph/Josh Dun- Ever heard of the band Twenty One Pilots? Well, these two celebrities make that band. In my opinion, they are a great duo and make some quality music. Although the ship isn’t sailing, it is still cute to think about. But, both of them have partners, so there is pretty much no future for this ship.

3. Steve Rojers/ Bucky Barnes- This ship is a platonic one this time, which means they are like siblings, or close friends. In the Marvel movies, this bro-ship is real, but there is a fandom for Steve and Bucky as a ship, not platonically. But, seeming throughout the movies, only a platonic ship will ever happen.
4. Dan/Phil- Ever heard of these two YouTube sensations? Well, now you have. These two guys have a wonderful gaming channel and then two separate channels for each person. There is a big fandom for these two and during one of there touring shows, they included a fanfiction part where they had to act out some of the fanfictions about them. This is a fun ship, and, we don’t know what will become of it in the future, so there is a chance.
5. Clint Barton/ Natasha Romanov- I know, I know, how many ships are there from Marvel? I chose one that isn’t canon in the movies but makes sense. Like, even I want this ship to sail, and I dont really care for Hawkeye nor Black Widow.
Alright, so, now that you are eduacated in some real ships, let me tell you the main types of ships.
Gay-Ships- Ever heard “gay ships are yay ships”? Well, lots of fans say this to show that this type of ship is their favorite. This kind of ship involves two people of the same gender to have a relationship.
Bro-Ships- These are platonic relationships between two people that could be of any gender. They can be friends or siblings, but, they are still ‘bros’.
Regular Ships- These are just straight ships that can range from fictional to real life people.
Now that you are fan-smart, you can communicate with/and join new fandoms! Now, have fun fangirling!
